Buntola is an honours graduate from Algonquin Colleges’ Television Broadcasting program specializing in ENG/EFP Camera as well as studio and mobile productions. Being diverse in the industry he also has experience in Technical Producing, Producing, Studio Directing, Linear and Non-Linear editing, Chyron, Inscriber & Deko Graphics, 2D/3D/360° Graphics, Audio Board Operation, VTR Playback and Ingest, Studio and Field Lighting, Dejero Operator, Floor Directing as well as a Social Media Contributor just to name a few.
Currently Buntola is employed at Bell Media with the CTV Ottawa News Bureau as an ENG Technician. He currently specializes in ENG/EFP Camera, Avid Editing as well as Switching and Directing for CTV’s Question Period, CTV’s Power Play and Parliamentary Press Gallery coverage. Previously Buntola was a Videographer/Editor with CBC/Radio-Canada with the Parliamentary Bureau for Power & Politics, CBC News Ottawa as well as any related productions. Buntola formerly worked for Bell Media as an ENG-EFP Camera Operator/Editor for Ottawa’s #1 Morning Show, CTV Morning Live. Buntola was part of a company-wide ‘corporate restructuring’ back in February of 2021.
Work and productions have been seen on but not limited to CBC Power & Politics, CBC News Network, CBC’s The National, Rosemary Barton Live, CBC Ottawa, CBC’s Our Ottawa, local CTV News, CTV National, CTV News Channel, CTV Question Period, CTV Power Play, eTalk, Rogers TV, CPAC, APTN and freelancing for Liverpool Court Studios, Dome Productions and Ross Production Services.
Other non-broadcasting experience include Computer Hardware, Networking and Technical Support. Buntola also graduated from NBCC St. Andrews as a Computer Systems Technician and previously provided end user support to business clients of Hewlett-Packard (formerly Compaq) including mobility giant Ericsson. Buntola also provided guidance and second level support as a Help Desk Focal to his colleagues.
